LATOA was found for each and every well-read, spiritual,

LATOA is an acronym for The Loosely Affiliated Theocracies Of Anarchy. Each of our
Theocracies represents an individual belief system for its population. These diverse populations make up the
citizenship of our Island. Our Theocracies live with nature and this island community is extremely remote and
secluded. Our isolated self-sustaining eclectic pagan community is located in the south pacific seas near Vanuatu and
the Fijian Islands. The Island of LATOA is currently accessible only from the sea, as the landing field for the planned
airport is not yet under construction. A small prop plane and private pilot will be available when the landing
strip is completed. Visitors and groups of an eclectic mind are always welcome for extended visits. There is always a warm gourmet meal at Moe
Betta’s or a cup of exotic tea at Mr. Wongs. Visits (i.e.- festivals, retreats, vacations, handfasts, etc) may be
arranged in advance for nearly any length of stay.
The main village is a communal area with fire pits and kitchen facilities, a large ritual space, food storage, water storage, power
generating buildings, privies with garden shower/spa, and socializing areas. Each of our permanent Theocracies has its own clan tree house, connected to the main village via rope
bridges. Oh, did I forget to mention that the main village is constructed hanging among the native island trees, suspended 10 to 30 feet above the ground by modern tree house designs, with
each of the decks and clan houses offering a full view of the surrounding areas? Well it is and you will love it! All the guesthouses are private comfortable
sleeping rooms built onto tree house style platforms with bridge access to all communal areas. There are also private
jungle secluded Tiki style huts available a short hike from the main village
houses. The self-sustained gardens and the livestock areas are also located an easy walk away from the main
village. The island village is surrounded by footpaths through the jungle to hidden shrines and altars to the
old gods. This is the place to reunite with yourself, to become one with a tropical island forest or a calm ocean
beach. Join us for a High Festival celebration or anytime you need to get away from Everything.
There will be a limited size supply vessel that is
also under construction with a completion date of Aug 2008. This vessel will be available for supply
runs to the main island near the full moon every third month.
Current plans for island wide Internet and satellite
communications sytems are under design.
